Magic is originally from Australia, she comes from Missetsu Japanese Spitz, Carmel Cathie breeder. She came to live in the USA in 2001 with Excalibur and then we were lucky to have her become part of our family in October 2004. Magic is often referred to as ‘mamma’. She is our oldest JS in our home and also the dominant female. She even lifts her leg to mark thingsJ Magic likes to ‘bark’ people around and tell the other dogs when there is too much noise. She sleeps with her eyes opened (I often find myself just double checking that she is still breathing), but she is really asleep. She loves to go to the dog park, play, she can jump quite high from a sitting position, and loves to be pet. She enjoys barking at the cat (the only dog not scared of our cat)and loves treats. Her favorite thing at night time is to come and walk up right to my face (on my chest) so I can pet her. She is not shy about letting someone know what she needs.

I experienced my first litter with her and she was so fun. I came home from work that afternoon and walked into the house. Things were not the same. No dog was there to jump up and down at me, bark to greet me. All the dogs were sitting off to the side just looking at me, then looking up the stairs. Magic was at the top just sitting there. I went to the backdoor to let them out and no one followed. All the dogs had run up the stairs and I could hear Magic growling at them. When I went to go and look she was guarding the rather large welping box, and inside were a little female and male pup all cleaned up. She smiled as if to ask, ‘did I do good?’ She was a wonderful mother and teacher to me about how a good mom should raise a litter.
